The Challenge of the Knights of the Tentacle and the Dunwitch Ranger (La Disfida dei Cavalieri del Tentacolo e della Guardia Forestale di Dunwitch)

There are minor battles, skirmishes lost in time... Perhaps coming from lands far away. Today I want to talk to you about the challenge of the Knights of the Tentacle against the Forest Guard of the city of Dunwitch. I still remember it well, I want to pass it on to all of you.

Who are the Knights of the Tentacle? Many nefarious things are said about them: some say they are cursed humans, others say they are brain-eating extraplanar creatures... Only one thing is certain: they worship an ancient and terrible titanic god made up of tentacles! A real horror!

These monstrous tentacled knights have attacked the sanctuary city of Dunwitch to steal an ancient artifact. The Rangers didn't have time to call for reinforcements and were forced to take to the field to stop the raid.

The artifact was present in the center of the sanctuary, the battle took place within its walls. A lot of blood was shed that night...

The blood was red in color: it was that of humans! Arrows and hunting dogs did not stop the advance of the knights.

The knights' dark magic protected the knights, empowering them and weakening their opponents...

The many losses made the remaining rangers flee, they couldn't do much... Their resistance was heroic, but the surrender was inevitable. The Knights of the Tentacle stole the relic, using it for their blasphemous rites... This theft concludes the event that was remembered with the name "The Challenge of the Knights of the Tentacle and the Dunwitch Ranger".
